Transportation

Transportation to and from school, workshops, and the Holmes County Senior Center is available to any student or adult enrolled in day programs provided by the Holmes County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Transportation is also provided to individuals in Supportive Employment.

Each bus is equipped with a two-way radio. The radios allow bus drivers and the Training Center instant contact in case of emergency, and the radios ensure accurate and timely service to all riders. Our buses are currently being updated with air conditioning units.

Each bus is Board-owned, and maintenance is performed at the Board's bus maintenance facility located at the Training Center.

All bus drivers must hold a Commercial Driver's License and maintain Red Cross First Aid Certification.

The safety and comfort of HCBMRDD passengers are top priorities of the Transportation Department.
