Early Intervention
The Holmes County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities' Early Intervention Program is designed to serve infants from birth to three years of age who show a delay in one or more developmental areas. Services can be provided in the home or at the Center. The major emphasis of this program is supporting parents, as they learn new ways to teach their babies and learn more about services available to meet their needs.
Preschool
The Preschool Program is provided at the Training Center, in the public schools, in the home, and/or in other Public Preschool settings. This program is for children with disabilities or delays who are ages 3 to 5
School Age
The School-Age Program emphasizes a functional curriculum and serves children with disabilities ages six through twenty-one. Although this program is provided at the Training Center, many of the activities take place in the community. There is also a class located at Walnut Creek Elementary. Job Placement is available for students ages 16 through 21.
